What always strikes me here--this forum, generally not the crafts thread particularly--is how many folks get upset when their idea of perfection/proper is not met. Work with natural order rather than try to force it to human desire and you get further. This corn dolly is handcrafted of natural (mostly) materials and therefore each one will be unique and slightly different. Wonderful! Now, if you're talking about technique-outcome, well, you improve with time and make adjustments. Garden, I couldn't make one of these--rustic or otherwise. Don't belittle your work.

Agreed - you're being much too hard on yourself. It's a beautiful corn husk doll. (You should have seen my first fabric fortune cookie, compared to the ones I can churn out of my sewing machine now.)
For crying out loud: you put a hat and an apron on her! CROW about it, TGF!
I have three seasons: GROW, *SEW*, and SEED CATALOG!

Now that's something I could do with all those pits I have out in the garden. I even have quite a few "halfsies" -- all I would need to do would be add handles!

You should always have a plant B.
