Hi! I am a somewhat "new" gardener. I've grown mostly hybrid tomatoes over the last three years. Probably because I was afraid that in this disease and bug haven (S.Fla), the heirlooms would not do well. After educating myself on heirlooms, I found that many are disease resistant, they just have not been "tested" for diseases. The heirlooms I have grown so far are Cherokee Purple, Matt's Wild Cherry, Reisentraube, Yellow and Red Pear, all were delicious! I found an interesting heirloom tomato website, you can get to it by searching for Tanager Song Farm Products, this lady has 350+ heirloom tomatoes. You will love this site!

Hi Ivy-
What would your top three suggestions be for gezpatcho, just plain eating, and cooking (one each)? Thanks in advance.

Hello B.....

That is a very hard question for me......(hee hee ), Well, for eating, my favorite is old flame, (I have several other's though), for sauce I always used roma, but Amish Paste is a good heirloom sauce tomato, and......sorry but I dont know what gezpatcho is, so dont know what ta say about that one.

Hi Ivy!
Well guess what?
The seeds are poking their heads through the soil and smiling!
I can't wait to taste the flavors of real tomatoes again!
I hope you have received your package already :-)
Rob.
