ok doke, I am ready to do some good old fashioned horse trading or seed trading as it were.
I have plenty of Purple Hull Peas to trade. I would like some greasy beans or yard long beans.
Oh yeah...even if you have nothing to trade as long as you can send an sasbe I can send you all the pea seed you need. I saved way over a pint of them this year. It's my way of trying to give back to the group here.

Hairy MK, I think I'm one of those people who begs for seeds but has nothing to swap. I save seeds from things I like at the farmer's market but I don't think to ask what varieties they are. They grow or they don't, so it's no help to anyone else. The labels are "fat little Italian eggplant" or "long yellowy peppers."
Veggies are not exactly my forte...

Moose, I have Chinese Red Noodle Bean seed, yet to be harvested, they are getting pretty dried up. Just a matter of going out and getting them.
Just what DO you do with purple hull peas? Are they vining? I've never tried them, will they grow up here in Ioway?

You boil them like beans. Put you a big ole onion, hunk of bacon or salt jowl. they are some good eating. They do grow on a vine, but it doesn't take over. It would sort of remind you of bush beans. They like a warm/hot growing season. I can sure send some your way if you would like to give them a go.

Moose, I sent you an email. Thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on it. The fence I'm thinking of is about 30 feet and I can plant on both sides of it. I don't know as I want to plant all of it in those peas since I don't even know if we would like them. Just a small handful will do.

I would like to have more ROS. That is, if you have plenty to spare. I don't want you paying postage though. I could always send you a MO to cover your costs. I still owe you for the last time too. I wonder if they have enough time to adjust before winter or should we wait till spring? Let me get done with my shift and we'll talk some more. After tomorrow night, I am off for three days.

Sorry it took me so long to answer Vicki, This week has been tough. I worked 2 night shifts then turned around and had to work a dayshift yesterday and I have to go in tomorrow as well. when I got home yesterday, I went straight to bed. I'm not sure we are going to have "winter" in Texas this year. LOL!!! and then again, it could come tomorrow. It would prolly be safer waiting till spring on the ROS. I will email you later this weekend. I have your care pkg ready to mail. Actually, I got it ready this past weekend and just haven't been to post office.
