The list has moved to a permenent url at WinterSown.Org. The list of tomato varieties has grown with many types has become very popular! It's been posted at a few locations across the internet. The list of tomatoes has been fast and easy to edit and update all locations. However, as daylight hours lesson and winter approaches my workdays lengthen--having only one list to maintain and edit is a necessity.
Hi, I'm new here and not sure on what to do, you list of tomatoes is impressive and would love to have some. I know it's too late to start them for this year, but I would like to have them for next year, from my experience tomatoes seeds stay viable for many years. Anyway, do you still have some?
The seeds will be viable for some years to come. Tomato seeds can remain viable with high germination for four or five years and then after that the viability drops some. If you store the seeds where they will be dry and away from extremes of heat they will be fine. Simply, your sock drawer will do fine ;-)
Please send your seed list with a two-stamp SASE to the address shown on the list. Once your letter arrives I'll open it and remove the SASE and list, I'll then put your choice of of seeds into the SASE and send it back to you.
I'll be delighted to send you seeds. I've just updated this list, it's got some really fine choices ;-)
What a wonderful list! I'm new here and would love to have some of your seeds. It's so nice of you to share. I'll get my list and sase off to you and hope you still have some of the special ones left. I've never tried so many of those listed! Hopefully by next year I'll be in a better climate for tomatoes. Every year I have to fight either blight or gophers here. This year the blight is starting again because of the horrible weather. It will be so nice to live somewhere with a real summer again! I'm in the San Francisco area now and would you believe it's in the 50's again!!! Thanks so much!
