I just can't get the hang of it. I buy seedlings and they die after the first harvest. The seed I got didn't sprout and now there are no good seeds to buy at the store... I read in the New Gardener's Forum that they should be easy and even self-sowing. What kind of soil and sun exposure do they need? I have arugula to share or trade for them.
My soil is less than great and this year--right now--its a soggy bog ; growth is stunted, but I have plenty of growing time ahead. However, normally, the soil's not great but drained and the cilantro patch gets full sun from mid-morning to late afternoon. It's on the WSW side of my herb garden.
How many you want?

Just noticed under your culantro thread that you're having a hard time still finding seeds. I tend to plant much longer/later than many--not necessarily to see results this season--and have lots of "leftovers" that are still viable. Anything besides cilantro you want?

This is my first year gardening and I basically want everything we can eat. I am making a "herbal medicine cabinet" and trying to plant as much food as possible too. I need some broccoli, squash, eggplant. I have some okra and tatsoy seeds to share. Where do you want me to send SASE?
Look over my seed trade list on another thread here and see what you'd like to get. I haven't updated, but I still have enough of most "haves" for a decent mailing. That will determine the type of SASE.
Will be away for the holiday, but will answer next week.

Hi Jems: Is it too much to ask for cayenne pepper, summer savory, coriander and squash? If it is, I did put them in order of importance. Thank you very much.
