I wish I still had the pictures I took, I was trying to figure the same thing out sending my mom pictures of different parts of the plant...
once the flower falls off, the "knot" left had some white spiral/coil looking thing. i know cause i ripped it open looking for seeds. after a while they dry and turn black. wait till it's busting open cause ive think thats when the seeds are good and done

Dirt Dobber, just wanted to let you know I did plant some of your seeds. Problem is... the envelope slipped and seeds went everywhere in the bed! Alls right with the world, though, and now I have a ton of your white hollyhocks coming up!

Jems-I'm noticing a pattern with you and seeds falling... If you would like more for the spring let me know. I have a load of them!
