I have 3 compost bins, I put 3 pallets together to make walls and the front is open on each. The first one is growing all kinds of stuff!! The second one is composting at it's own pace and the 3rd, I started several weeks ago has some disgusting bugs that won't go away. It started when I threw some big guavas that went bad in it (it's the only thing that never happened to the others). They swarmed the guavas amd I thought they were guava bugs, but that was weeks ago and they are still there. They are so gross. They are brown and look like a cross between a palmetto bug and one of thos bugs you touch and they turn into a armadillo-looking ball. Maybe 1/4 or 1/3 inch each.
What should I do?

Could they be pill bugs?

If yes, not to worry they only want to eat what you put in the bin.

Most likely you have Pill Bugs, or Sow Bugs, close cousins to lobsters and crayfish. http://www.backyardnature.net/1000legs.htm
These crustaceans are not harmfull and can be beneficial since they start to digest your dead vegetative waste so it can be returned to your soil.

The sign of a good gardener is not a green thumb, it is brown knees.
