I am asking because if we have all dug up our goodies, then it's time to start to wind the contest down. There are not enough PC entries or entries in the softneck, hardneck, elephant or rocco categories. Come on now, send me the pics or post them in the contest thread. I know you are out there. This should conclude by Labor Day, or soon there after. Garlic on! 65 days and counting till planting day Beats counting down for Christmas, doesn't it?
Muddy knees David! Compost is my friend. Every day I enroll in gardening school. Some days it feels like kindergarten!
since I haven't been all the way through my garlic even though I harvested in mid June I am waiting to the dead line to post because I haven't been though all my elephant and softneck. Set a deadline and I will post what I have found at that time. Thanks the garliclady

The summer garden has slowed down so i will be spending alot more time in the garlic shed, I made 35 braids yesterday. I ship out my orders in september and have to have everything braided by oct 10 for a garlic festival. I need to start making garlic powder soon too . So in the next 3 weeks I should be about finished sorting garlic. Sept 15 sounds good

My pics are already in, but Sept 15th should be more than fair.
BTW, I like the count-down to planting. I already planted a few (based on your "accidental" experiment you mentioned in a previous post). They were smaller cloves, but we'll see what happens with an early planting.

We just need to get all the different threads with garlic pictures in them all brought up to the top of the forum page so they can be judged.

It's been hanging in the garage for 2-3 weeks now, depending on harvest date. Am starting to clean up the small stuff "for practice" before taking on the more photograph-worthy ones.
I harvested mine in June if I am not mistaken. I'm getting my ground ready to plant...A lil early yet, but I am chomping at the bit

It don't matter what you call me; as long as you call me in time for supper!
