Hello I am new to this organic farming thing and rabbits are feasting on my pumpkins, beans, watermelon beets and peas. I am in a dry dirt farming area with little else for the critters to munch on. Any suggestions so that I might have a chance at getting someting to eat out of my labor?

1) Fence
2) Shoot

Also, if you can control rabbit-friendly habitat around it may help. Tall grass is where they typically nest, and they like to hang under brush during the day. They don't tend to travel very far, so if you have an overgrown yard near the garden that could be mowed, or some briar brush nearby that could be cut down and removed it'll help.

I managed to make ideal rabbit habitat this spring unintentionally...because of some minor health problems I haven't been able to keep up on my mowing/trimming so a few areas of the yard, I won't say the grass is tall, I prefer to call it "meadow like" Smiler Plus then my raspberry bushes in the garden I learned are ideal daytime hiding space for rabbits. I'm also pretty certain I haven't had the same level of hawk / fox pressure as in past years. I haven't seen the hawk hanging out on my propety as much, and I haven't seen a fox this year.
