Has anyone ever taken a census or a rough count of organic gardeners there might be in each state? major city? region or growing zone? I got to thinking about this when on the way home from my garden shop I turned onto the next street over from me & saw the local garden club having a plant/ garage sale. I didnt even know that there was one in the area at all. .I think it would be neat to know how many of us there are. Just think if we all got together behind something in the political world what a difference we could make?
Has a poll going on that such specifics are answered. Of course, with 46 current members, the census is limited. But if everybody wants to take a census of us, I would think the OG Seed Bank site on yahoo would be a good spot to hold it.

You're assuming that all organic gardeners are on the same political page. I think if you peruse this forum long enough you'll discover that isn't the case. Pick out just about any subject political and you'll find there's no consensus among us.

I think weedkicker has it right. The only thing we all agree on is that we seem to disagree on almost anything except being organic and even that has itÂ’s degrees.

Variety is the spice of life, but I still think you're outnumbered on the political front. We all be on the same page though gardening wise. Fire away brother! It's all what this country is supposed to be about!
Organic gardeners are an odd bunch (no pun intended). Some are kind and nice, some are chop-busters, some are misfits, some are hard-core conservatives, others are staunch non-conformists and, generally speaking, even the best behaved of them are people "who wouldn't want to be part of a club that has them as members".
Now you tell me what kind of "political" impact they (we) can have as a group with these premises, unless it is stand-up comedy we are talking about...
