well..this post I am typing in at 7:00pm my time....so you are probably already in bed???

Actually, 3 or 4 my time, during the week is better....or after 8 at night my time WAHAHA (since you'll are probably all in bed).

Actually...since Tomorrow is a bit up in the air....5 my time, though hectic, might be most feasible.

I'd be glad to give Max the Mouse. However fair warning, in his own words, he's "not that good of a typer." He has his opinions, though, and he loves to share them. Smiler

Once you guys work out the time, just post it and if I'm around we'll chime in for a quick minute. Max does usually need help logging on.

A dreary Easter Sunday here. Cold, windy, damp, snow showers. Next week is suppose to be better weather-wise.
Unfortunately I have to start a new full-time job tomorrow. Gotta put the veggie farming back on a part-time basis while I rebuild the bank account.
Lisanne made me do it.

Won't take long to get the bank account up to snuff.

What are your hours going to be?

You'll have plenty of time to farm in the evenings. And you'll love it all the more.

And all day at work, you can think about what you will do in the garden when you get home!

Hope it's not a long drive to work.

I'll be thinking of you when I am getting ready for work in the morning. Do you want me to call and make sure you are out of bed? Big Grin

Well MHG,

Have you decided if you are going back tomorrow? Razzer

Okay, today when I got home, I planted my peas and those frightful brassicas. Bird netted the pea seeds, but can't find milk jugs I know I stored to cover the transplants. Hubby knows nothing, of course. Even though the trash can I had the jugs stored in is empty of them and his stuff is now in the trash can! Mad

So, what I'm saying is working and gardening can go together, just has to be on a smaller scale, a much smaller scale, if you have my yard!

Tomorrow I plant the onions, more bird netting to put out! I hate my yard right now! Hideous! Nothing worse than a yard FULL of bird netting and, well if I had some, Milk jugs! Gotta come up with a plan quick on the transplants, or by the time I get home tomorrow there will be no transplants. Birds, stomping neighbor cat, ect. Can't bird net that spot, pity!

I'm thinking and Oh yeah, having a beverage to help my thinking!

Then, leftovers for supper from yesterday! Isn't working great?!!!!!

Yeah, so how much fun did you have today, MooreHaven? I just finished work myself. All I've done today on garden is watered some of the indoor starts. Might get to working on cold frame ends. On the other hand, they'll still be there tomorrow! Frowner

How's the new job you ask; well, working inside when it's been so nice outside has been a little unnerving, I go on break and think about what I would have been doing if I had been at home working instead.
As it is, I potted up the last of the tomato varieties in the grnhs. tonite, that makes 532 seeds started total so far. No I'm not transplanting all of them, most will be sold as plants.
Neighbor stopped by tonite, just to see if the garlic was up yet. It is up good enough for him to distinguish the rows.
Farm report today told of a major U.S. tomato grower who planted corn this year instead. If you live in Penn., you probably heard about it. There's a shift happening in the produce business in this country. Brace yourselves.
Local produce manager told me tonite he's seeing a trend starting of folks buying and stockpiling the cheaper off-brands of veggies. He and I theorize that it's possibly an alternative method as opposed to those who can can, freeze, or preserve themselves.
There was a recall of S. American canalope this past weekend.

Howdy MHG, maybe people are going for the cheaper varieties because they can't afford their normal stuff and are trying new, less expensive produce out? Hopefully enough growers will keep growing tomatoes, or supply and demand will make what's left even more expensive.

Just a guess, but I wonder if people are buying and stockpiling cheaper veggies because they're looking for ANYTHING TO EAT that hasn't blown through the roof yet. Yikes! $8 something for a single chicken! I missed the sale on flour last week (went to the other store) or I would have bought a bag for the freezer for the exact same reason.

MHG, where do you sell those start plants? I may have a few extras myself.

Potting up some of the tomatoes for the second time. The first starts are growing like crazy!

MHG,

Well, sounds like you are off to a fantastic start. You went to work, you thought about what you needed to get done at home all day, and then you went home and got busy! Amasing how we can go to work AND garden, but, yep, if you love planting stuff, it can be done. So see, like I told ya, you will just get more ambitious, and your time inside all day at work, will only make you more determined to get done the stuff you really take pleasure in! Woo Woo!

Now a question: So since you are both working now, who got the bathroom cleaning chore? Big Grin Or did she decide that's still your job? Hit me up and we'll race to the finish again! Worked well the last time! Yep, I'm laughing here!
