Yeah, yeah. Well today it's a hobby. Do have most of the receipts though, just in case. Except the 18-pack of Keystone Light I got for the slugs. I think that one got lost. Razzer

MHG, I double checked the spaghetti squash color and they are yellow, with an orange cast. Thanks for the tip re: size. I am picking the rest due to them getting huge. I like squash, but not that much. Football size, or a little smaller, works for 2 people.

Dave - nice thing about the Spaghetti is that it has an exceptional storage/shelf-life when compared to Acorn which will dehydrate and Butternuts who rot easily ( all relative in the world of winter squashes ).

Do you'll have winter yet?

Third day in a row I woke up with fresh snow on the ground.

*thupt* to dragging water about.

Otherwise I am doing great. Smiler

Hey Alaskan! I've been wondering how things are going for you up there. So do you have any daylight left? It's fading fast down here.

We haven't had a frost yet (unbelievable) yet have snow forecast for this weekend and a forecast HIGH in the 30's on Sunday. Oh well, I guess it will average out to normal. Breaking out my winter jacket... (the light one).

still have daylight (I am south enough that I always have some), but it sure is going down fast!

We wake up and go to bed in the dark now.

We are having a big rainstorm now...maybe I will be able to plant my bulbs tomorrow (beg beg beg), and it is dripping into the house around my woodstove pipe. *sigh*

There was a sign, "Welcome Satin Place", when I moved to town that day.

And little rows of white homes that looked like castles all along the way!

But after being there awhile, I found it wasn't what I thought at all!

They had a forclosure sign in front of each castle wall!

Good grief!

How's everyones 401 K's looking? I've been hearing horror stories from people I know, and lordy, they are too old to recover from this mess!

Good news is: DANG! Gas is down to $3.09 here this morning, and expected to drop under 3 bucks in a few days!

What is the ultimate price, we, as normal people will be expected to be walloped with till all is said and done?

Doomsday to all? WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope all is well with the coven!

Don't know much!

OH!!!!!

My beans are still going! Boar Hog bean soup for Thanksgiving! I Hope!

Hi everyone!

My garlic went in last night and I am getting your rain Tonight. Well, not alot of rain, but, enough to make the cloves notice!

And now for a picture of my garlic cemetery....I mean plot. Well heck, my stakes remind me of tombstones at the moment. They should look better once something pops up.

MHG? Are you too wet to plant, or did ya already git er done? Might have missed that. I know Liz and Dave are done.

Oh my goodness! I almost forgot! Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!!!! It's been a rough week. Hoping the weekend and from here on out proves to be more enjoyable!

Oh Liz! All Lucky did was chew on a bone while I planted the garlic. He was no help at all. The miserable mutt!

That looks fabulous, LisaAnn! Congratulations!

On this end, I got the garlic finished in the nick of time. Nice 70-ish afternoon. Next day was cool and we got .60 rain. Next weekend we got 1.25" rain & snow. We only actually froze out last night (well, squash was done last week, but tomatoes et al were still alive). But it's been icky cold and windy! Brr!

Can you believe the rain? Last year we didn't have ANY from early July on. I have a funny feeling I'm going to be out on that snowblower a lot this winter... They say we're due for a hum-dinger. Wink

Hi gang! I haven't got all mine planted yet. So far, only Rocco, Northern White and Susanville. I had 3 dump truck loads of maple firewood dropped off. I have been processing that and it takes away from garlic planting time. Plus, being dark by 7 pm sucks, too. Been foggy lately but warms up to 70 by mid afternoon. My maters are hanging on.I am trying out the cattle marker on my recycled blind stakes. Nice markers, lisaann.

Boo Hoo!

Can't even post a pic tonight! Heck, it's a used pic, and still can't post it.

Wood stove is burning, been reading threads, the moon looks cool.

Made chicken noodle soup.

Cripes! Friday night in the big town! Hahahahahah

OH! Got a question:

Do ya like white tuna in water better than regular tuna in water? You know, out of the can? This is what my evening is like tonight! Hahahahahahah

Anyone have a more pressing or entertaining question?
