I started my garden a couple of months back and my husband used a mixed-seed package in one of our bed. I'm now trying to recognize the vegetables that we are growing ! I have the more obvious ones, but there are 2 or 3 that I have no clue. Would somebody be interested in helping me out ? If so, I can send you pics of the seedlings\plants.
Anyway. It's always a good idea to keep a graph paper layout of gardens, and/or a list and/or journal of what's gone in where and when, plant life cycles, bugs, weather, all the stuff, and for crop rotations as well. (Plants like brassicas absolutely must be rotated annually, and heavy feeders too, for example.) If you have any memory at all of what went in there just google your plant list and photos will come up for you. Or just guess and google till you see them. Good luck!
Thanks for your answer. Yes, it's a mixed veggy seeds packet, for kids ! I really don't know what can be in it, so, it's really hard to goggle it. I was trying to find websites with clear pictures of common seedlings, but, that's hard to find too !
Well, how about the library? There are garden books with seedling photos - look for the books themed toward gardening by the month and/or season, because they usually walk you through the growing season with photo accompaniment. The Victory Garden book is excellent for this. They use chems so don't follow their recommendations there, but the seedling photos are outstanding. There's Crockett's Victory Garden and a later edition, The New Victory Garden.
