Afew of the leaves on my Sunflowers are turning yellow and one or two of my tomato seedlyings, I was thinking it might be a Nitregon problem but was wondering if it might be something else?
I know bloodmeal is good for Nitrigon source but I'm not sure just how long it takes for it to start working.
Along with your thoughts on my delima, any ideas for long term and quick nitregon sources.
Thanks for your help. By the way I should add that the Sunflowers are young and only 4-6 inches tall and the tomatoes haven't yet been transplanted to the garden.(still only 2-3 inches tall)
I was wondering if root bound might do something like this.
Thanks again,

CD

I would say you are probably right on the rootbound tomatoes. Once they're in the ground they might look a little better. Did your sunflowers get frost or wind in the time you noticed them turning? I know here alot of my plants get wind burned in the spring. Big Grin

it amazes me how important it is to keep potting up those plants! So root bound might be one thing.

As to a quick pick me up...one of those liquid sprays are always good....like fish emulsion.

While maybe not so great on you potted seedlings.. A great source for nitrogen is to keep a pet rabbit! (I had to say that!)

Do you have a Starbucks where you can get coffee grounds? I guess your solution depends on what you want to use the Nitrogen for. Fish emulsion works too.
