The word garlic derives from two Old English words that describe its appearance. Gar meant spear, and leac comes from leek. The plant is a leek relative with spear shaped leaves.


Muddy knees David! Compost is my friend. Every day I enroll in gardening school. Some days it feels like kindergarten!
