Kimm1; you are absoutley right, most garden writers and professional gardeners will tell you exactly the same thing, build up your soil. They also tell you, including Dr. Hoitink to rotate your plants in your garden.

What I am trying to do is get people to think instead of simply accepting as cast in stone the dogma that comes from people that practice "conventional" gardening where they have to do things differently because their soil is not a good, healthy soil.
If all of your neighbors used Arsenic as a pesticide does that mean you should too? People did use that for that purpose not very long ago.


The sign of a good gardener is not a green thumb, it is brown knees.
