I discovered I had an accidental lizard/toad house that could be easily made. I had a pallate of flagstone delivered which sits in full sun, and has become the favorite cool and safe home for my best bug eaters.

A smaller one (18 inches or 2 by 2 feet) could be put together with 2 layers of wooden slats separated by a 2x4, and at least three layers of broken concrete or decorative flagstone criss-crossed so there's plenty of shady pockets, air flow and protection. They found it the first day and I almost have to fight them for the stones!

Very very cool. That makes me think of Chris J.'s pile of slates giving his beautiful Eastern Hognose snake a perfect (and accidental) refuge.
