Alright, this is my first post to this board, I hope that I can find lots of info!
I live in an apartment in WA near the coast, and my landlord recently told me that I can have fun with the yard that there is. He seems to run over EVERYTHING with a lawn mower, but now that I have the mower I think it will be ok. SO, I want to plant a veggie garden, perferrably raised bed with veggies that are already plants (since probably too late for seeds, yes?). What sort of plants work well this far into the season? Also, how do I go about getting soil for my bed (I also only have a car and limited funds, so hauling top soil may be out of the question). Any suggestions would be appreciated! Oh, one last thing: if I use seedlings from a place that probably uses pesticides, will there still be a lot of residue even if I don't? And can anyone recommend an organic garden store in WA?
Thanks in advance! -Briana
