Since going Organic this Spring, I had never seen some of the awesome critters that God had created for keeping the "balance of powers" in nature in check. On several occasions I've watched little Miss Innocent Ladybug munching on some aphids and other tasty critters. Yesterday, I watched a single hornet fly from plant to plant devouring Japanese Beetles, ripping them apart leg by leg. I counted at least 5 that he killed while I watched.

Although it has been a little more work than usual this year, so far it has been worth it just from the entertainment perspective of gardening. Seen quite a bit of action!! Heck, I even seen naked Japanese Beetles getting' it on!!! LOL!!

I must admit that until this year, I have never even seen a watermelon plant develop any fruit. Same goes for cantaloupe. I've had a few pumpkins but none to full maturity. This year, I have all of the above coming out the yazoo. Pumpkins are getting close to 6-8 inches in diameter. Watermelons are bigger than a softball. Cantaloupes are about baseball size. This is the first year that I ever had my Limas to do anything. They usually die as soon as they break the surface. Come to think of it, all of my plants are doing better this year than I've ever seen them do before.

I still used the same supplier for my seeds that I have always used. Bought the same variety of seeds as well. Although the fact remains to be seen as to whether or not I have these go on to full maturity, it CANNOT be just a coincidence that this is the best year I've EVER had gardening while it is also, just so happens to be the first year I have gone organic as well.

As you can tell, I couldn't be happier with my results.

Does anyone else here have a testimony that they'd like share??

Hallelujah!!!

I am so happy for you. :^O Wink :x B-)

All I can say is why spend money you donÂ’t have to, on chemicals that donÂ’t work as well as all the free materials we can use as organic growers. Then too, who want to eat all that chemical soaked produce. And as you pointed out, you also get to watch a show put on by Mother Nature as all her creatures tend to business on your behalf.

Congratulations! I also love to watch the tons of butterflies and bees wandering around. Once DH and I were sitting on the front porch, and a huge swallowtail fluttered around, and he said, "This looks like a Disney cartoon!"

I have been enjoying the lightning bugs in the evenings, I remmeber when I was a kid they were everywhere. My father told me, you know you are doing something right when you have lightning bugs and frogs playing in your yard.
Oh, I hope the frogs don't eat the lightning bugs!
