I love tart cherries and would love to grow a tree or two I need help finding the best kind suited for my area (southeastern wis Zone 4/5) any help would be greatly appreciated.Any one ever try growing kiwis ?I'd like to try growing them also .
willowbaby. I am in zone 5. I have a North Star tart cherry tree. It is very suitable for our area. It's a real heavy producer. A dwarf, so isn't too tall. Cherry trees need very little pruning, I haven't taken over 2 branches off mine so far. This is the 3rd year for it. It produced enough cherries last year for 7 pies. And it's loaded with blossoms right now. May your life be a bowl of cherries.
