Toad, one of the best ways to prevent diseases in tomatoes, Never plant in the same place two years in a row. Let the ground or bed lay out or plant legume or green crop in its place. Then the next year, you can go back with maters. Also, never allow anyone that smokes or uses tobacco products around your tomatoes without first washing their hands, Tobacco mosaic virus can be spread from cigarettes, snuff, etc. Hope this helps, Bobby Farmhound@att.net
Am I in my cabin dreaming? Or are you really scheming, to take my ship away from me? You better think about it. I just cant live without it. So please dont take my ship from me!!!

The post preceeding this one, also made by me, made reference to information on blight/problems as written by Carolyn Male. An established expert, Carolyn provided such information on a Yahoo tomato user group, known as Tomatomania.
As member of that Yahoo group, I obviously have access to such information. Anyone joining the users group does. And I highly recommend that you do join there, as the promo on my own website links page states.
It has been brought to my attention that many people have taken offense to the poor attempt at humor, complete with emoticon, that I used in this post. It was not my intention to offend.
If I have a demonstrated "style" at all, it is to refer questions to url's where additional information is available. As I had/have no url for Dr. Male's info and since that info may be too technical or detailed to most readers here, I offered to email such info directly. No other reason.
I hereby do apologize to Carolyn for any misunderstandings or possible "misreadings" of my intentions.
As for my sense of humor, that too is subject to interpretation and clearly, may be misplaced here.
