My young tomato plants have developed black spots on some of the leaves similar to the spots roses get. I am not convinced that it is Bacterial Spot and am unsure that I can treat tomatoes with sulfur. I've never had this problem before. Does anyone out there have any experience with this? Thanks.
Sounds like potatoe blight. Unfortunatly, there is no treatment that I know of. Here is a suggestion. Remove the parts of the plants that are infected and then some. Disgard those parts away from the garden. In the past, when I waited too late, I had to digard the entire plant.

Those black spots could be simply the result of an insect nibling at the leaf. There simply is no easy way for someone to diagnose the problem in a forum like this since appearance and total conditions would be clues. Look at this website to see if there is any help. http://www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/Garden/02949.html
