In the past two days, I have caught 6 or 7 toads in my yard, around my house and put them to work in my garden for me. As I already had about 6 resident exterminators in my garden that I was aware of I thought heck, this can only help, right??

That's my question for you folks. Can anyone foresee any negative effects, other than eating the beneficial insects, that the toads could have on my garden?? I prefer not to have them around my house since they draw snakes because snakes munch on toads sometimes and my little Dachshund-Chihuahua mix considers them a delicacy as well. That is, until he comes in foaming and puking up un-digested toad bits.

What do you think???

Well, just like ladybugs and other beneficials, they will only stay where there is food. So if you've tipped the balance of predator and prey, the toads will leave to find food elsewhere.

They will figure it out. Smiler
