I have looked through different charts, one says I am zone 5; another, zone 37. What I do know is that my last frost date in spring is May 20ish and the first in the fall is Sept 20ish. Where do you all get your zone information?

lop,

Like Lucy's link, here are a couple more sources, which also represent the official USDA plant hardiness zones.

http://www.usna.usda.gov/Hardzone/ushzmap.html

select your state in the pop-up menu at this site:

It does sound like you are in zone 5, and the second link listed gives some more breakdowns also. Have fun, and great growing!
