Corn is a heavy feeder of nitrogen so fish emulsion is good thats high in nitrogen. I prepare my garden with compost rotateing from were it was last year. I plat the seeds 1 inch deep in early spring or 4 inches if it gets too warm I plant 6-8 inches beteen plants and 30 inches beteen rolls or alittle closer.I always mulch beteen the rolls and i wait till the plants are 6-8 inches before I mulch beteen the plants this helps on weeding and the corn roots are very tender were you don't want to disturb them. I hope this helps and good luck!
