I finally went dumpster diving over the weekend with no luck. I was looking for that mesh wire to make tomato cages. Anyone got any ideas I can make realy quickly? Would pvc pipe work? I remmember a threasd about tripods and I know heather.head built some type of trellis. Just looking for easiest w/most readily avail supplies.
After 15 plus years on my concrete wire cages, they are beginning to go....so I went and bought more. It was about $30 for a 50 ft. roll. I figure that's about $2 a year, doesn't sound so bad when I look at it that way!
All the gas spent running around looking for it wasn't worth it to me!

You got a bargain on your roll, munsey. I paid $40 at Lowes for the same length. This is my first experience using it. That stuff is really difficult to work with! But now that it's all layed out flat and cut up into 8 foot sections, I'm really happy with it.
I came into this world with nothing, and I still have most of it left!
I use 6X6 concrete reinforcement mesh. Roll it into a tube and support w/polls...just walk thru the tomato patch everyday and poke the ends of the branches back in the tube. makes for easy picking too!
Mumsey is this the stuff you're using?
The whole world is a narrow bridge; the important thing is not to be afraid.
