Hey everyone - just have some cool news. I subscribe to Garden Solutions magazine and entered a photo contest for kids in the garden. I have a really beautiful picture of my daughter surrounded by flowers, smelling a black-eyed susan, that I sent in. It won first runner-up and I believe they are going to publish it in the november/december issue!! It is so neat - my daughter is going to flip when she sees it!!

I don't have a scanner, but I am sure my dad will scan it for me (he's a computer whiz). I will defintly post it when he does - it will be a couple months before the issue comes out - can't wait Smiler - I've never won anything before!! Speaking of which - if any of you remember what my evil husband did to my veggie garden earlier this summer - I got another one for you (I almost literally murdered him this time!!). I had drained our well watering my flowers yesterday (in the middle of like 2 weeks without rain here) - so when the shower ran out of water, I called out to him to write down the numbers for the lottery out here when it came on the news. So as I am sitting in the tub, letting the drips from the faucet fill up a plastic cup to rinse the shampoo out of my hair, I am dreaming about what I would do with $330 million, should I hit - what a garden I had schemed up!! So anyway, I finally make it out of the bathroom and go into my wallet to get my ticket. As I am checking the numbers, I start noticing that all my numbers are coming up - I hit the lottery!! As I am having him double-check it, I am hyper-ventilating, screaming, trying to call my mom and he tells me that he had gone into my wallet, taken out the ticket, written down my numbers and put the ticket back in my wallet. I could have killed him!!!!! I really thought we won - and i pride myself on not being very materialistic, but that was the best 30 seconds of my life - until he told me the truth. He better sleep with one eye open tonight. Of course, I do call my mom and tell her what he did and she is laughing so hard, she can't even breathe!! Where's the love? This man is on my s@#! list!!!

he is even meaner than me! I used to do stuff like that to my wife until the day she was singing in the shower and didn't know I was around. I snuck in the bathroom, crawled over to the tub, jumped up, swung the curtain open and yelled AARGGGHH! She screamed so loud, my first reaction was to jump in there with her and hug her. I was afraid the neighbors called the cops thinking I was killing her. Last time I did that. There are lots of ways to pay him back.Lost car keys, missing money with a thank you note. Change his clocks, need more?

Muddy knees David! Compost is my friend. Every day I enroll in gardening school. Some days it feels like kindergarten!

Oh, mama, I laughed so hard, and then I ran to tell my husband.

I think some of the paybacks Dave suggested are in order.

Congratulations! You know, I think you did post this picture once because I remember how beautiful it was. Maybe I'm wrong, but if I recall correctly, your daughter was quite a bit younger.

Unless I'm getting it mixed up with another picture I saw.

LOL!!! It sounds like something that i would do. I once told my Boss that If I won, I was taking a crap on his desk and I also told him to watch the news cause if I won, I would be driving down I35 with my butt hanging out the window so he could walk up to the TV and kiss it! I'm not sure, but I don't think he thought it was very funny. I on the other hand laughed myself silly.

You can call me Hairy, Moose, or Knuckle. Knucklehead is ok too, as well as Anthony, Tony or perhaps if you prefer, an old Fudknucker.

It don't matter what you call me; as long as you call me in time for supper!

Congrats on your picture!
Hahaha. Loved that story! Big Grin Well, ok, I would have been pretty steamed.
It reminded me of a story from work. One of our co-workers always went around taping the phones down or hooking the drawers shut on the side, goofy harmless stuff. He's a real hoot, a nice guy too. But we decided we'd get him back good.
Sometimes our boss would hand out scratch off lottery tickets when we had little contests, so I went to Spencers and bought some of those phoney winning scratch offs, and we set it up that he would win. We saw him scratch it, and then he got this funny happy look on his face, and made a phone call. We were about to die, and then he looked on the back and saw it said to take it to the Easter Bunny's house to redeem your winnings. He took it well, and that was the only time we ever got a prank over on him. Ahhh, he doesn't work with us anymore, but we had fun times.
