Organic Gardening will upgrade its login and registration system on
December 11. The new system is needed to support some of the major site
enhancements that we are currently developing. The new system is shared with
other Rodale sites, including Prevention, Men's Health, Runner's World and Women's Health.

I AM FAIRLY NEW TO ORGANIC GARDENING, BUT A NEIGHBOR TOLD ME ROUND UP IS SAFE TO USE, I JUST MOVED TO A 2 1/2 ACRE LOT AND WANT TO DO EVERYTHING ORGANICALLY.
My friend, true organic gardeners do not use any form of commercial synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.
Round up is bad news on beneficial soil organisms like earthworms and microbes. Never use it!
The best natural herbicides are full strength plain vinegar sprays. Citrus acid teas made from citrus fruits are also good. Also strong, stinky, old, stale, undiluted, anaerobic compost teas can also be used full strength as a herbicide on many sensitive plants.
Thanks, I didn't think so, but i am at work and needed a quick answer for the other half at home doing some work with the neighbor. I finally found a good posting. Printed it up to take home.
