My friend, true organic gardeners do not use any form of commercial synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.

Round up is bad news on beneficial soil organisms like earthworms and microbes. Never use it!

The best natural herbicides are full strength plain vinegar sprays. Citrus acid teas made from citrus fruits are also good. Also strong, stinky, old, stale, undiluted, anaerobic compost teas can also be used full strength as a herbicide on many sensitive plants.

If you search the forums for "round up" I'm sure you will find many discussions on the subject.
