Hello all, I'm new here but have been reading some of your posts.
My problem is this: I have 2 types of pole beans that are supposed to be good for drying. I let them develop and they have nice sized beans in the pods (and way too big to harvest for fresh eating). We have gotten some frosts here in the Northwest and the vines are starting to go, but are not dry!! Now it is raining and is forecasted for rain for the next 3 days or so.
So, is there some way to dry these?? Could I pull up the plants and hang upside down in the garage to dry?? Just let dry on the vine and the frost won't hurt?? I do appreciate any help you all can give me.
Thanks,
Frankie

I am not sure about pole beans, but I do crowder peas. With no fear of frost,on the vine is fine. You hanging them up,on the plant is ok to.I pick the best, and lay mine on paper towel inside untill dry. (crowder peas) Peas and beans are about the same,to me.You can put alittle money into it,and buy a machine to dry them.
