Hello all,

My wife and I started this site right after we started a recycling program at our church. We live in a community that is not very progressive when it comes to embracing eco-friendly ideas, and thought the website would help. It's grown a bit, and continues to do so. Please check it out and let me know what you think:

www.ecofuse.com

Feedback, good or bad, is greatly appreciated. We want to grow this site into an active community of eco-conscious users and help do our part to slow the threat of global warming.

Cheers for nature,

Nick

And I thought I'd seen it all - the lowest of the low. Apparently not. Now it's SPAM disguised as a religion.

SHAME ON YOU!!

I think what the previous poster is trying to say is that when a long-time, respected member posts a message recommending another website that he or she feels we may be interested in, it is welcomed and well-received.

When a total stranger joins the forums solely to promote their website, no matter how noble the cause, well, you may as well be spamming this forum for your off-shore Viagra Scam site.

Stick around this community if you wish. What we have in common here is gardening but a lot of us have ecological concerns too.

We also have a low tolerance for Spam, as you can see by the reaction of even one of our newest members.

Wow.

I'm sorry my post offended you guys so much. I think that's probably the worst reaction I've seen, considering the site was created for a really good cause. My thread was not intended as spam - please feel free to delete it if you wish. I built the website myself, and am looking for criticism to improve it.

For BreezyGardener: the story is actually true. Your response was shameful and unjustified. You have no idea how much work it takes to spread an eco-friendly message in an anti-eco-friendly climate.

For everyone else: I've lurked on this forum on and off for a long time. I've had an interest in personal gardening for as long as I can remember, and organic gardening (most recently vertical farming) for the last 6 years.

I added organicgardening.com to our sites we like page (http://www.ecofuse.com/siteswelike.php). I actually believe in promoting good causes, and I believe in your website.

Regardless, this will be my last post on this forum.

Regards..

ecofuse, just in case you're lurking, you forgot the magic phrase that insures immediate acceptance regardless - "Bush lied"!
