With the last market Saturday behind me, I thought I'd have time to check in here. Instead, I got a 4-day weekend: came home Saturday to find my son vomiting on the carpet. Flu. Poor kid didn't get to wear his alter ego (Batman) and beg for candy from strangers. His sister went out and took donations for his cause. She didn't even keep a tithe. But the next day, while he circled the drain, she spiralled down, too. And I got a mild case, although I pulled out on Monday morning.

Kids stayed home from school for 2 days; therefore I stayed home from work. DH also toppled into bed on Tuesday afternoon, and has yet to emerge, though kids just went back to school today.

At least I got to hand out the rubber mice to little kids. Big Grin

It's now NaNoWriMo (dot org to find out what I'm talking about). See you erratically, as usual!

Cwap, Elfie. It's never fun to have kids, animals or husbands retching on your carpet. I'm sorry. Hope you stay well, woman.

Hugs from me!

P.S. That's an awesome site. I have to investigate it when I have more leisure time.

Actually, our school nurse strongly recommends after being out in the public, to change your clothes and shower imediately upon getting home. So the hosing down ain't too far off! yes

Hope all are feeling better, it is tough when the whole family is down! mk

Changing out of the "work clothes" is what I do, and same with hub and the son. The daughter not so much, but she only comes down with the stuff that knocks out her brother. Flu happens. I'm not going to fret about it, I'm going to try to minimize its impact.

But my reasons for changing have more to do with coming home smelling like butter and vanilla - the cats have been known to jump on me and lick my jeans and sleeves. Roll Eyes

Hub didn't get better in time for the corporate formal banquet. Frowner It would have been a big feather in his hat, too, being seated at the head table with the VP of something or other and the motivational speaker, since this year he's the VP of the club that runs the banquet. And they had a really good caterer this year; none of those shortbread cookies (ACH! SHORTBREAD! KILL! MAIM! HISS! EVIL!) and ice cream balls.

I'm sleeping in the basement tonight. It's not the germs swirling around upstairs that bother me; I'm just about ready to push someone's face into a pillow for all the hacking and coughing noises! Mad I've had enough, thanks, and it's time to stop.
