Right now the rain is falling and I hear it in the gutters. There is a cricket right under the window. Nice sounds.

Ooo. Great thread to revive. Let's see: Airplanes. Often and loud. We are one mile south of a main runway for an International Airport. But between the blasts: Crickets Barred owls Frogs Toads Husband Snoring Deep, even breathing of two sleeping children Pages turning downstairs where one child is reading Computer humming Fan blowing Ducks murmuring Mouse wheel squeaking Peaceful. I hardly notice the planes for the sounds of a peaceful family night in.
