And such handsome fellows they are!

Kimm, I pictured you somehow as a brown fox, or maybe gray, but not such a distinguished silver! Smiler

And walleye...how're those badgers with groundhogs (and would trading one for the other be worth the postage to have you mail me a couple badgers from your neck of the woods)? Wink

And there was even a nice comment on Gardenz' article from a reader in the letters section.

Cool, gang!

Walleye!
Great column and love the photo of your bean 'trees'.
Wish there were more garden photos; would have been fun to see more pictures of your garden and Kimm1's garden.
Fun issue; full of people, ideas, photos, plants, landscaping ideas; even an update about DDT and buckwheat research.
Anyone know what that flower picture is on Page 49, upper right? Is that a type of annual flowering clover?

Badgers pretty much stick to themselves, but they can be a handful when one gets to digging in a pasture. They leave such big holes and tunnels that livestock tend to step into them and hurt themselves. Other than that, they do a great job keeping the gopher population thinned.

I would not want to try to hold one down and stuff it in a box! Eeker

Just got mine yesterday. What fun to see the people we only know from a website. My magazine came with a seed catalog. Has anyone ever ordered from them?

The seed catalog that came with is called Seeds of Change. Has anyone ordered from them before?
It says they are certified organic.

I ordered from Seeds of Change many years ago. I don't remember anything negative. As I remember, they were among the first wave of organic seed sellers.

Hey!

I got Seeds of Change too, but way before my OG mag. came the other day. I have never ordered from them, that I recall, but maybe I did years ago...

I am still pondering over the several catalogs I have gotten. I want Baker's Creek (?) catalog, but don't have it yet cuz I want the Chinese Noodle Beans that someone raved about last year! Gonna check online when I get a chance!

The magazine and the catalog arrived yesterday. Seeds of Change is a highly reputable, all organic seed catalog. I've ordered from them in the past and been quite pleased. And it is interesting to see people whose pictures we've had in our mind's eye for awhile! Kimm is so distinguished looking. Didn't see the article with Walleye in my quick run through, but will look for it now.
