As for finding my vehicle in a parking lot, the clue is to remember when going in where in the heck I parked!

I really feel stupid walking out of a mall and trying to remember......
Even at work I never get the same spot and it could be a couple blocks from the day before. I have gotten lots of exercise in work parking lots! We have 900 employees and several parking lots.

My car is white but I allmost allways remember where I parked. I helps that one of the guys at work put a bright colored sticker on the back hatch glass, some racing car supply sticker on an econo car. You are right about red cars, I bought one on friday evening, saturday morning I was pulled over by a cop who admitted that he was looking for a red car that drove by his church playing loud music the previous weekend. Fortunately I had the sales papers on the passenger seat. Two ticket within 6 months then not another one for 25 years. White stays cleaner looking dirty and it doesn't heat up as bad in the sun.

OMG! We have the same vehicle! Big Grin

DH's work truck is muted, losing it's out coat of red, his Dakota is white & my new to me Ram is RED! Used to have pewter Blazer.

Think I read this some place a few years back.

Red vehicles get the most tickets & are stolen most often.
White vehicles have fewer accidents...easier to see.
The next best color for fewer accidents was silver.
Worst colors for accidents was black/dark blue/dark green...any dark color...harder to see at dawn/dusk against road pavement.

For some dumb reason, that just stuck in my head. So now that I have a RED truck...I am really watching my speed since my foot is lead!
Used to do street drag racing and have even run some thru a drag strip...in Ca....no longer there.

Worked late once (not unusual)...went to my dark red Ranger. Kept hitting the button to unlock, it wouldn't unlock. Key didn't work. Finally hit the "panic" button to beep the horn...oh, this is Kurt's truck...mine is over there.

You know, the ONLY other vehicle in the entire parking lot.

*sigh* I was tired Smiler

Ironically writing this from the dealership, bought a "Tuxedo Black" '09 Ford Fusion a month ago and had some minor issues to be addressed.

The black is growing on me, helped by me being a bit OCD on keeping it clean...which is making me think I can never again buy a nice car again. Beaters and trucks are much lower stress Big Grin

I like Octave's idea:

Bright pink vehicle! Hahahah That made me laugh! Yep, I could find that in a parking lot.

Still learning all the crap on my new vehicle.

2012, and all of a sudden, they put stuff on the steering wheel, including cruise control, which I think is stupid.

Heck, I'm afraid to barely touch the steering wheel.
Bumped some button, and the radio came blaring on. ( Can you say heart attack?) There is no need for all those buttons on a steering wheel.

Scared too death I'll hit the cruise control button................ what if the brakes fail?

I ask if this vehicle came with just regular, old time features............. got a stupid look from the salesmen.

Steel grey, 22 years old and creaking less than I do. I read about a woman who after coming out of the mall saw 4 guy's getting into her car. She pulled her gun, and yelled to them to back away from the car. They did as she said and took off at a run into the stores. When she got into the car she notices running shoes on the floor, pop in the drink holder and a few other things she didn't remember being in her car...it wasn't her car. Those poor guy's got the sh*t frightened out of them for nothing. So make sure it's your car before you pull your gun out Big Grin

Lisaaan, is it a GM product? Wait til the Onstar starts talking to you and you didn't even touch the thing! Now that's a coronary. It offered to guide me to my destination.

Like I didn't know where the grocery store was 8 blocks away...LOL yes

Mavis, that story is a hoot. One would be arrested for doing that around here! Accident or no.

One time, years ago when I still had my red 1996 Toyota Corolla, I walked out of a store with a grocery bag, spotted the car and used my keys to open the trunk. That's when I noticed that the trunk was half full of stuff I've never seen before. At first I thought DH put it there, but all of that junk still did not look familiar. So I closed the trunk and walked around the car. It took me 3 or 4 minutes to realize that IT was not my car, but one which was identical-- including the locks -- to mine... Eeker

Ten year old Silver-ish grey minivan.

Much like myself, it's a little banged up but still works pretty well.

I havn't had a vehicle that was one color in alot of years.Whatever I drive is also my toolbox and I am an artist. I sit paint on it.Use the hood for paint pallet. Clean the roller by rolling it down the sides etc. When I drive it out of town I can count on getting pulled over. Eh,well, I don't have rust problems and I live 20 min from the beach.

Splash,

I'm guessing you can find your vehicle in a grocery store parking lot!

I'd love to see a picture of that.

Artist? I'd love to see pictures of your paintings. Can you post pics?
