What courage they had, walking up an open beach, crouching and running, crouching and running inland, into a blistering force of machine gun fire. It is beyond my imagination. Right now I have a moment of silence in remembrance.

If it weren't for those guys, and all the others who fought in WWII, you'd be speaking German and my whole family would be dead.

Isn't that the truth.

When I watched "Saving Private Ryan" I had a hard time sitting through the scenes of the beach landing and I made myself sit there and watch it all, taking it all in. How dare I be upset when all I have to do is WATCH?

I can't fathom their bravery and am in awe each time I think about it.

When i was young my superheros wore capes and had special powers later I learned who the real superheros are. Thank you for your service, one and all.
