dh love caramel apples, but I have never had too much luck with getting the caramel to stick. Thought maybe it was my recipe, so yesterday did a google.
It was recommended that if you used grocery store apples, to dip them in boiling water for a few seconds, I did it about 15 seconds, and then wipe them off. The wax comes off and they are no longer shiny, but the caramel sticks wonderfully. Maybe you all know that idea, but it was new to me and my Mom. Mrs.K |
