Yes Sure Jell makes things a lot easier when making jam. It shortens the cooking time, increases the amount of jam, and lets it keep its fresh fruit taste.

Scavenger I use either SureJell or Certo in all my basic jams except my Rhubarb Cinnamon which doesn't require pectin. We do gift baskets every year at Christmas of pickles, jams, and sauces for my family. This year we're trying a carrot marmalade recipe that I read in a book (Little Heathens) from the Depression ers. It's always fun to give some bounty to others.


It's only a weed if you can't use it!
