Black Bean Soup
4 Cups Black Bean 1/2 Tablespoon Salt-1 Gallon Water ...I use less Water 1 Tablespoon Cumin 1 Each Ham Hocks 1 Tablespoon Garlic in Oil 1 Cup Diced Red Onion 1 Tablespoon Tabasco 1/2Tablespoon Ground Black Pepper Place one gallon of water and add Black Beans. Trim meat from hocks and dice. Place meat and hock in stock pot. Add remaining ingredients. Cook on high heat stirring frequently for two hours. Add ½ gallon of water and cook until beans are soft. Remove hock bone and stir with a wire whip. Yield = 1 Gallon. Snoopy57 |
