I have several bottles of canola and some other veggie (no olive) oil that i am not using in cooking. Is it possible to do some kind of soap and something else out of it or it will be just a waste of money (on supply) and time? Should i just throw it away?
Why on earth would you throw something perfectly good away? If nothing else, at least donate it to a food pantry so someone can get some good out of it.
Do a search of this forum and you will find a ton of info on making soap.

With what I've been learning lately I wouldn't want to cook with it either. I was nearly out when I finally wised up. Would a food pantry accept an opened container? I have my doubts. Good luck, Galinak, in trying to find a use for it.
It will kill grass around edging and sidewalks. Also good to kill mosquitos in standing water puddles. Mixed with diesel, it will burn in diesel engines. I even heard of one feller using it for power steering fluid when he had nothing else. But this guy was a bigger redneck than me..so be your own judge on that one.
Am I in my cabin dreaming? Or are you really scheming, to take my ship away from me? You better think about it. I just cant live without it. So please dont take my ship from me!!!

Farm - thanks for the grass-edging tips. Does it take out ranunculus and thistles, too? Already knew about the mosquito-slick.

Pour it on them in the hot sun and it probably will. Or heat it up to frying temp and pour it on them...
