How is your sewing business coming. Has Loamy become so busy with the baby, that she can't even find time to come here anymore?
I'm wanting to expand my sage plants so I can make those wreaths I mentioned just lately on Herbs. I want to get back into knitting more because there is a big "locally" made thing going through the entire state of Kentucky... I don't have to have a "health Department Grade" place to knit things. There is a bigger movement around here to get things that are locally/state made, grown, or canned. I could sit and knit gloves and houseslippers, very easily/mindlessly. I would like to be able to make the above mentioned items using at least American grown/produced cotton, wool, whatever. I would love to find state or locally sources for fibers to knit. I know there is a place in Ohio.. just about 15-20 miles away that produces Llama yarn! So how cool is that?

Verra kewl, Rabbity. Go ahead and do it. But check out the online market for your pricing scheme, as well as local craft fairs and consignment stores, so you don't undersell your skills - it takes time to knit stuff and make wreaths, and you deserve to be remunerated for your effort, in addition to the cost of the materials. I found I was doing that at first - it takes a few hours to make one take-out box, and I have to price them at a pittance, wage-wise, because no one wants to pay $25 for the box you put your gift in, especially when the box could cost more than the gift itself! I've stopped making those as a result, unless I've been commissioned.
