Loamy, Did you ever post how to make the olive oil soap? I read through this thread, but did not see it. Doesn't mean it isn't there, just that I am blind. april

Another question: I have a friend who is a hunter. Could I use the fat from deer or even squirrels for soapmaking? april

Absolutely: this needs to stay at the top of the list!  Squirrel soap! I don't know the answer to your question, April, I just had to giggle. I got some squirrels around here who could use a few valid threats on their lives...

I'm not the one shooting anything! I just know that he was recently teaching his son how to hunt squirrels. I cannot imagine there would be much meat on a squirrel, but, hey, to each his own. I just figured if he's killing all these critters, maybe I could benefit from the fat? You know, use it up . . . Besides, imagine my friends' and family's faces when they open up their Christmas gifts to find Squirrell Soap. hehehe april
