Thanks for the websites - I'm going to rip out some more of the front lawn next spring, maybe as early as this fall, and I'm now thinking lavender should be part of the redesign. I wonder if we can do this with hyssop... I've got a huge hyssop clump spreading out under my pear tree, and into the surrounding lawn at the back. It's great for keeping the rabbits away from the tree trunk, but it's getting a little bit too wild even for my taste. Lavender and hyssop seem similar enough... Thoughts?

Elfie, From the sound of things at Botanical.com, the scent or perfume from hyssop is often preferred over lavender, so I would certainly try it! Let us know how it goes, I'm very interested, and will be adding hyssop to my front bed!
