One year I got some muslin, and I had some pastel colored cotton for quilting. I drew chicks, eggs, and rabbits on the pastel cotton, cut it out, then glued it on the muslin and used those liquid embrodery things to seal the edges, color the eggs, and fill in the eyes and features of my critters. It was cute. It made a cute thing to put on the front door.

I know this is really late, but the fun things we have done over the years with the kids have been blowing raw eggs and decorating them or creating little creatures using cotton balls and pipe-cleaners, or we have made colored paper garland chains or colored glass squares using waxed paper and many colors of tissue paper. There are so many possibilities. Maybe for the more mature person, you could really get those eggs beautiful.
