I planted some oregano last year. This year it was a lovely huge plant. Then it got out of control. Frustrtaed with it I hacked it down to the ground. I notice it is growing again. So do I just keep this plant going? Will it last indefinately? Or is it best to dig it up this winter and plant a new one in the spring?

ORegano like mints rather enjoys getting a haircut. It gets rid of old material and allows new to grow. We usually recommend that one cut the plants back by 1/3. 1/2 if you're that upset with it!
