I'm so proud, I just made my own compost tea maker! 1 left over 5 gallon bucket, tubing, a pump, and an air stone. I saw the same set up on the internet for way over 100$ and they didn't include the bucket! Mine cost about 10$.

As I tell my husband, it's like I'm making him money!

life is good,

So I'm not the only one who's just recently decided to invest in making aerated compost tea! I bought my pump, splitters and tubing last week and completed my first batch Saturday afternoon. I've been a compulsive composter for years and am eager to develop this new method.

What type of compost are you going to use? I used redworm castings and I think my husband added a handful of purchased composted manure.

Hi,

I used some compost from my own pile, a handful of alfalfa pellets, a couple of handfuls of grass clippings and a couple of handfuls of black kow. I will add some molasses in a bit.

I guess i will check on it's progress tomorrow evening and decide if i should use it then, or wednesday.

I am very excited to see the results Smiler

are you on the northern north carolina shore, or the southern shore? It sure is beautiful there! I am a little jealous, I miss the ocean. Atlanta is landlocked suburban purgatory. I am ok with city living or country living, it is just this inbetween that is this whole city, it is a strange place, but at times very entertaining.
