I've looked all over the web, and I can't find a photo? When I first started my garden, my dog got in there and dug. All the seeds I'd planted went flying everywhere. I planted a row of scallions, and all kinds of sprouts are coming up in that row. I don't know which are scallions and which are other plants.
???

They are a monocot seedling and will come up looking like a single thin, round blade of grass. As they get larger, you will see that they are actually enlongated cones or tubes that come to a point. The shoots are pretty fleshy, although you won't be able to tell that until they are 3-4 inches tall.

Mulch where you can
Weed when you have to
Till if you must
It's all part of the plan
(apologies to Dan Fogelberg)
