hi from blossom I am a really new leader just forming a 4h club for juniors in our neighborhood. I need input from experienced leaders, how about making this fun as well as informative? Any ideas? thanks, b
I'm not a 4-H leader but I've owned chickens for quite a while and offer my advise for any questions you may have. You may contact me directly at baychef@sbcglobal.net.
I'm not a 4-H leader either, but am on the extension board and work at the county fair. The kids seem to respond to hands-on stuff, workshops definitely help the fair projects, and tours of neighbors are inspirational, as well as keeping them interested. You know that every "farmer" has a different approach and a different goal. There are also a zillion different breeds with an equal number of characteristics. Thanks for doing a really great thing. 4-H is a program that could easily die in our urban world, and society would definitely suffer for it.
