Daisies, Your image might be a good starting point. I could see modifying it to cover the seed package label with the words, logo, and possible some more graphics at the top and the name and basic info on the seed below (still inside the limits of the scroll). It might be something to play with.

It will still be a bit until I make my first seed sale on ebay (I am trading some of my pumpkin seeds for some cushaws, but I will hold off the label on that so i can get the seds out quicker), so I have a couple days to play with it. I think I might still add the part of, "the way it was intended to be" onto the end of the motto. My mom suggested using the image as a template for the shipping labels as well. Its definately in the running.

Lisaann, At first glance, your image might not ba able to get the point across (and the Harvest and Market thing is a nice though for my ham radio - but it might muddy the water as well). I might be able to work with it some though as well. And i would still need something for my letterhead and the scroll wouldn't work so well when it is made small enough for that.

If you can find a better looking scroll, that would be best. I got the idea from Shumways new garden catalog. They have a nice looking scroll with more rolls and it is parchment colored. I was thinking about your b/w printer. A nice harvest scene used like a water mark under your text would be great. I could'nt find a decent one on my sys.
BTW, this is fun. Wink

Hi Bill,

Thanks for not laughing at my drawing. You will get lots of ideas. And we do love this stuff. I know nothing about scrolls and stuff.

For some reason a seed with a organic halo appeals to me.

HAM is not a good idea, but I was thinking of your interests. I definitly hope we come up with something personal in one way or another, just so it's is all your own . Ya know what I mean? Something so I can say, Hey that's Bill's, I know him! Cool!

The way it was intended to be can really work with any image you come up with, that's why I liked the halo. Ha ha

Please give us a pre- picture of what you have in the works.

I promise not to draw anymore scary pictures, though. HaHa

I just picked up some coin envelopes at Office Depot today to put seeds in. They are quite a bit smaller than seed packet size. I am having to use standard address labels for labeling the seed packets for now. Not enough room for logos and such. I have room for my company name and address, the name of the seed type, testing date (I am told it is required in some states) and the intials of who packaged the seeds (which is me for now). I am placing the label on the flap side of the envelope so it covers all the seams. It overlaps one end as well so it seals things down with me having to lick the adhesive on the envelope.

And Goldperl, if your watching, the pumpkins seeds are going into the mail tomorrow.

Well, this happens to be one of my loves. Doing a very very quick search through Word Clip Art, I came up with this:

So waddaya think? Too busy? Font too funky?

Color printing is very expensive, so if you can limit your logo colors to one with black, you will save yourself a lot of money. Two and balck is still pretty affordable. Like I said, this was just quick, but I will think on this during my prime thinking time; My drive home, and again on my drive in. Tomorrow I will try this again.

Hi Daisy,

I like it. Can you sneak a halo in over the seeds for me? Be careful driving while your creating !

This is so much fun!

I just tried printing it in b&w. the only thing that didn't look quite right is the seeds look like they might be thrown off fingertips. In color it looks very nice though.

Daisy Dew, with your permission, I will swap your logo work with the temporary logo I have on my ebay auctions.

wd8izh,

Wink Now that I've finally stopped laughing, peeing myself, and dried the tears of a great belly laugh, I'd like to say, I'd be honored if you used it on e-bay. Smiler I made a minor adjustment to the seeds so they don't look so much like detached fingers. Now waddaya think?

Funny what I can miss until someone else points it out to me! Roll Eyes Let me know, and I can e-mail a jpeg, a pdf or an eps; whatever you want!

Yeah. I didn't even notice myself until I printed the image up in B&W. AS far as sending it, I just copied it off your posting. I will upload it to my auctions in just a moment.

Thank you.

Ahhhhhhh - I can't stop! Big Grin What do you mean you're happy with it as it is?! What kind of "customer" are you? Eeker

Seriously, I had visions of this my entire drive home last night, many ideas racing through my head. I don't think I remember 5 minutes of my hour commute. Roll Eyes Scary, huh? I'd like to keep working on new ideas, but before I expend the energy and put the lives of my fellow commuters at risk, I guess I'd like to know you're still interested.

Do you wanna see more ideas? This is what I live for, and promise that no metal machines or other humans will be hurt or killed in the production of more logos. Smiler

Yes, I am interested in more ideas. The reason I asked to use it is because it was so much better than what I had. Changing logos isn't hard here because I upload them to my existing business's website and reference the auctions to there. that way, when I change one file, I change all the auctions that use that file.
