While I approve of your enthusiasm, it won't be necessary. I e-mailed Linda at customer service and warned....um...informed her of the amount of enthusiasm here.
(Besides, we all know that once you guys let the beast within out to play, you have too much fun with him to ever lock him away!)

Most of my 'house plants' are just wintering over.I have an orange plant that my GD planted several years ago,its a few feet tall now with nice glossy leaves. The rest are always in dire straights.Just near death, but lingering :_| I could use some help allright.I'm getting desperate for some greenery. Wallets of your plants, sure, why not? :^O Kids, plants, our tracking dog, absolutely! Far better (and cheaper) than packing plastic.
Sorry Capt., I have to disagree, at least to a degree. Pot culture, particularly indoors is not the same as growing stuff in my yard. Don't forget, with houseplants, you get a LOT more pest and moisture problems than you do out in the garden, or even in a greenhouse. I've often saved languishing houseplants by planting them outdoors. Container growing is a totally different challenge than outdoor gardening. For me, at least.

Sorry Lisaann, I actually menat to reply to this a few days ago. Linda at Customer service did finally get back to me (she'd been out the day I sent my message). Said to consider the request granted. I assume the person who manages the board will be putting it together--I have no idea how long a thing like that would take or what's involved. Hopefully we'll see something shortly.

Hi i wrote a letter to the eitor of the online o.g. and asked for it. i hope we see it soon . i have a few question i am waiting to ask in the new forum.
I kind wondered if some of those ugly posts that were starting up last Spring sidetracked the OG folks. Scott did say at one point that they had considered the possibility of shutting down the site if things got too bad, so I assume they put any new forums on a backburner at that time. Especially after Scott had to spend a couple days tracking down all those obscene postings! X-( Those were horrible!

I remember seeing things deleted off the forum but didn't realize what was going on I guess. Didn't get to use the computer a lot then. Well, if people are still interested, maybe we could give it another shot. Thanks for replying. Maybe you could contact that Sharon again. I don't have any clue what our email is. My son is in charge here, I just jump on when he's out. HaHa lisaann

I thought I posted here this morning, but it must have vanished. I too have been wondering what happened to the proposed houseplant forum. Houseplants make up 1/2 of my gardening year, and I'd love to have a forum devoted to them.
