Okay, having been a follower of Ruth Stout for many years and new to computers and this forum, I really like what I've learned about green mulches and cover crops. My question is; In a no till bed, how do you plant the mulch/cover crop? Do you fork it in? Do you cover it with mulch and or compost? This year at the new place I am on a composting campaign. I already have eight piles going and more to come. As you might know from previous posts, I am a mulch fanatic. I would like to try a live mulch this year and do cover crops for winter, instead of mulching as usual. For next winter, I will do hairy vetch and buckwheat. I don't know what to use for the live mulch this summer. Maybe clover? I don't know. What would you suggest?
